The Rights of Every Child T-shirt Fundraiser for UNICEF
Each tee purchased will show support for children’s rights while tangibly contributing to UNICEF’s aid work for children in Gaza.

What is The Rights of Every Child?
The Rights of Every Child initiative brings awareness to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) through art and advocacy.
In 1989, world leaders signed the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), a treaty for human rights that centers children. Each of these rights is not an extra but a need. An essential. Something that should be guaranteed to every child.
(The UNCRC is "the most rapidly and widely ratified international human rights treaty in history.” However, according to Amnesty International, while 196 UN member countries have done so, the United States, who has signed it, is the only one not to have ratified it and made it law.)
We’ve taken the 54 articles of the UNCRC and gathered, adapted, and distilled them into simple rights. Each children’s book artist chooses one that speaks to them, that inspires them, and they create a piece conveying it in their own style, medium, and distinctly beautiful perspective.
We share each illuminating illustration and the artist’s words to inspire care, compassion, and momentum around how we are failing children, violating their internationally-agreed upon rights. We hope to give voice to those calling for change and create a movement for the US to ratify the UNCRC. We call on our global community to honor children and uphold the rights of every child.
Many neat components of this project are in the works! (For one, I’m attending a University program to study children’s rights this summer to learn more and connect with folks from the UNCRC Committee and others.)

Why UNICEF?
All proceeds from your purchase (save taxes) will go to UNICEF's donation fund for Gaza's children (and around the world).
UNICEF is the UN Branch that works on behalf of children’s rights around the world. And it works to save children’s lives.
“More than 50,000 children have reportedly been killed or injured. Nearly every child in Gaza knows what it is to be displaced: Their families have been torn apart, their homes destroyed.
No child will emerge from the horrors of the war without the imprint of trauma.”
PLEASE READ UNICEF’S STATEMENT , WHICH INCLUDES THEIR WORK ON THE GROUND AS WELL AS A PLEA FOR AID DELIVERY AND CEASEFIRE.
